Having fun with the camera

Kaylee on another schoold day
After preschool orientation the kids were in good moods and dressed nice, so we had some fun with the camera!

"the pretty princess walk"

Clay Preschool Orientation Night

At orientation we got to meet her teachers and see her classroom, they had out the music toys which Kaylee loved. She really wanted to stay on the playground and play. When we left Kaylee threw a fit shouting "I don't want to leave, I want to stay and play, I want to go to school today, not next week" She even blocked mom from going out the exit door by standing in front of the stroller, spreading her arms and saying "no, we aren't leaving" Daddy couldn't come because he was on a business trip

about to go in, they had to make sure they looked ok for their first impression, ha ha

Kaylee's 1st Day of Preschool, August 20th 2009, Clay Church South Bend

As mom was walking out the door she snapped one more picture, Kaylee wasn't having much seperation problems as you can see, she was excited to play

Walking in on our first day, on thursdays she goes to the optional "lunch bunch" and stays an extended hour to eat with classmates

She was so proud to be starting school

I think she was wondering why all the other kids were crying as their parents left, Kaylee did good seperating the first few weeks, then kinda backwards, but after the first month she gave mom a hard time when she was dropped off

You should have seen her marching down this hallways on her first day, just going slow and taking everything in

don't you get nervous for her just looking at this picture?

As you know Kaylee does not usually smile and pose for pictures, except for when she feels like a real big pretty girl on special occasions like this

Of course it was raining for moms first experience dropping her off, not the best way to ease into this process when you have to buckle a baby in and out as well just to walk her in, no car pool line at this school, should be fun in the winter huh?

Buddy may have been having some seperation anxiety, ha ha
It was a big day for mom, I felt like I entered into a different world, the world of older kids and carpooling for the next 20 years of my life, but kennadee and I sure enjoy our time alone or running errands on her school days, she attends thursdays from 8:30 to 12:30(lunch day) and fridays from 8:30 to 11:30. Her teachers are Ms. Griffin and Ms. Reasor, Ms. Reasor is the head teacher and has been doing this for 18 years, but Kaylee sure attaches to Ms. Griffin, who also teaches them music.

This is how Kaylee eats breakfast every morning, dry cereal and milk, on the couch with cartoons

Helping with the corn, what a big helper

Colorado - August

Ryan had a business trip in Denver CO, so Jama decided to tag along for the free room and left the kids at GiGi's house. Jama enjoyed sleeping, dinners by herself, the poolside, spa, and gym, all while poor Ryan had meetings and business outings. This was the view from Jama's bike ride, mountains way in the back, we thought the hotel was going to be a lot closer to them.

We did get one day to ourselves before the meetings started, this was taken at dinner

Another Pool Day, South Bend August 2009

Mom really wore them out, pool and park all in one, this was the car ride home

Kaylee got so much thrill out of pushing her baby sis

Kennadee thought it was pretty funny too, they giggled everytime they touched

I think this was her first park swing, she enjoyed it for a long 30 minutes at least

Kaylee running thru the playground

On this day at the playground a big memory took place. Two boys were blocking Kaylee from moving thru, she yelled at them to "get out of my way and let me thru" I was sitting on a bench laughing at how good she was sticking up for herself, the boys saw me laughing and started laughing as well, Kaylee then screamed at them "Don't laugh at my mommy" "Get out of my way" Next thing you knew the boys both moved to the side. I'm sure she looked like a sweet and innoscent target, but they had another one coming to them!

Hopefully she always will stick up for her sis too

Kaylee's favorite thing about the pool, the snacks!

oh ya, its probably Kennadee's favorite thing too! Who needs the water!

Kennedy Park Pool

August meant the soon ending of the swimming weather, so we took every advantage of the last days before labor day, Kennedy Park Pool isn't in the best part of town but it sure is fun. Our friends Haley, Grace, and Grady went to.

Helping sis

Taking care of her little sis, she is so proud

They could stand in the water and had something to hold onto since they were not walking yet, they loved it!

It took Kaylee a while to get this deep, but eventually she realized how much fun it was

Just a happy summer babe

They were not really sure how it works, but they were happy

Penelopee the Pony

Sure makes a unique toy to play with outside, it moves, you can ride it, it makes noise, but best of all, no poop

Day Trip to St. Joe Beach, Michigan, August 2009

Kennadee was worn out from the sun as soon as she landed in the car

This was Kennadee's first experience in the sand

Wonder what that little mind is thinking . . .

Kaylee a little more friendly with the sand on this visit, notice the bare feet and actual playing going on, gees, it only took 3 1/2 years to break her

She thought it was pretty neat to throw the sand back into the water

You would think a kid would love a sun tent, it was short lived

Kennadee following Kaylee's lead on what to do with this grainy stuff

" yuck, it sticks to my hand"

"you sure you're ok with this stuff big sis?"

"ok, then lets dig in! "

Hurry and eat before the birds get it, literally

nothing like milking it up in the sun with the waves crashing in the background
