Visiting Mama Amburn for her September Birthday

Attempting a three generation picture

Kaylee enjoying a toy mommy remembers, a duck that when you pull the string says "I thought I saw a putty cat" This toy must by almost 30 years old!

and the classic mama feeding great grandbaby picture

I bet Jama has some pictures just like this, especially since when she was this age she lived right next door

She was "Grandma's Sweetie" alright (as seen in her shirt)

Everyone has always enjoyed snuggling up to mama A, Jama did for head rubs all her life, Kennadee for bottles, and Kaylee for books (probably reading a book she use to read to Jama)

Kaylee giving Mama her birthday card, I'm sure she made a very pretty drawing on it

They always enjoy the different toys at mama's house

Must Have Pictures

Doesn't every kid have a picture like this, the classic spagetti face, our little Kennadee is no exception, she can have fun in a red mess too

Kaylee's First Soccer Game, September 2009

At the end of the game, they shake hands and say "good game"
nobody is really ever sure who won, no score is ever kept, ha ha

Kennadee usually enjoyed the games more than Kaylee

Kennadee just wants to be big like her sis and hang with the big girls

Kaylee is so scared to go on the field, mommy here in the green shirt, has to go out with her, this was typical the entire season, not sure soccer is her "thing"

Kaylee's favorite part of game day was snack time

Kennadee enjoyed the snacks that Kaylee would not eat, oranges, tasty!

Testing the Pony

Kaylee said for her 4th Birthday this year she wanted a pony party, when we told her we could actually have one come out to the house for rides she thought that would be perfect. However we wanted to make sure she wouldn't be too scared to ride, so we took her for a test run at the farm in New Carlisle. Kaylee liked the pink bows and braids, she really got all fixed up for her visit.

Kennadee agreed, this pony thing would be fun!

Kaylee renamed the pony right away, Penelope, after her favorite book "Penelope The Pony" by Cathy Drinkwater Better

I'm not kidding, she had conversations with this pony as if they were best friends, she asked him if he would come to her party and give her friends rides, they even talked on the phone before they met, the owner was very excited to be sharing her miniture horse with a girl so excited

looks like a natural to me!

If you can't tell, she thought she was pretty special, she got right up on the pony, no hestitations

September 2009, Kaylee 1st Soccer Practice

youngest on her team, it was held once a week for an hour at Knollwood soccer field in South Bend, IN

A good ole sunday - August 2009

We started the day off at Granger Community Church, then headed downtown to the South Bend Chocolate Cafe for lunch, we finished our desert next door on the pretend football field at the college hall of fame. Kennadee only nine months old but as you can see she was in her beginning days of walking as dad and sis helped her stay balance.
